Open Studio at TAC

Open Studio is a welcoming, community-based workspace for fiber artists, makers, and creative learners. Members have access to TAC’s shared studio space during designated hours, along with weaving looms, sewing machines, large work tables, cutting tools, ironing stations, and more. Whether you’re actively working on projects, building skills, or simply looking for creative community, Open Studio is a place to make alongside others.

All TAC members receive Open Studio access as part of their membership benefits. Members also enjoy members-only RESALE shopping hours and opportunities to connect with TAC’s creative community throughout the year.

Membership Benefits & Open Studio Access

Open Studio access is a benefit of all TAC membership levels. Members at higher levels receive additional benefits, including borrowing privileges from TAC’s book and tool lending library and “Bring a Friend” access to Open Studio.

How Open Studio Works

  • Open Studio is available on a drop-in basis during scheduled Open Studio hours. Advance registration is not required.

  • When arriving for Open Studio, all participants must sign in and sign out at the front desk. TAC staff or Studio Monitors will verify current membership status at that time.

  • Open Studio is a shared community workspace with a maximum occupancy of 12 participants at a time.

  • A Studio Monitor or TAC staff member is available during Open Studio hours to answer general questions, but participants are expected to have prior knowledge of the equipment and techniques they plan to use. Interested in learning something new? Check out TAC classes and workshops.

  • We ask all participants to help maintain a respectful, welcoming, and collaborative studio environment.
