Material Supplies at TAC

TAC is a center for creative reuse, accepting donations of fiber and textile art supplies and equipment, and making them available to the community.

TAC’s RESALE events - which provide access to all of these great supplies to the community - are held twice annually. Our Mini Shop is open every day that TAC is open and features a curated selection of donated secondhand fiber art supplies.

Supply Donations

We will accept donations at TAC on the following upcoming date(s):

  • Saturday, October 3, 10-2pm (yarn and quilting fabric only)

  • Sunday, October 18, 10-2pm

Please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Please review what TAC can and cannot accept in our Donation Guidelines.

  • Please bring items to TAC in bags. No cardboard boxes. No loose items.

  • Please pre-sort items into the following categories and label each bag with the category it contains:

    • Fabric

    • Yarn

    • Needlework

    • Sewing notions and tools

    • Yarn, knitting, crochet, weaving, and needlework notions and tools

    • Books

    • Patterns (separate patterns for garments, quilts, knitting, and other crafts)

    • Other categories, as applicable

RESALE Events

The biannual TAC RESALE is Madison’s favorite fiber stash treasure hunt — packed with donated yarn, fabric, sewing supplies, machines, books, tools, beads, patterns, and creative surprises at secondhand prices. Check out our Events page for the date of the next sale.

Mini Shop

The TAC Mini Shop — open throughout the year during TAC’s public hours — provides accessible materials, tools, and inspiration that support textile learning, sustainable practices, and creative engagement for makers of all levels. Over half the items in the shop are donated to TAC — the other half is an incredible selection of both new and artist made merchandise. Whether you're looking to give a donated item a second life, find something new, or just need a bit of inspiration, our Mini Shop will be the one-stop shop for your next project.

Call for artists! The TAC Mini Shop is looking for unique handmade ornaments to feature in our shop this winter. All skill levels are welcome to apply, we hope to showcase all the talent that comes through TAC. More information is available in our Google form.
